About Asphalt 4

Elite Racing followed Street Rules. Its published record lists a Java ME release in July 2008.

Gameplay

This is an arcade racing entry. The source covers several platforms, so its full vehicle list and platform-specific modes are not asserted for this phone build. Read the menus in this JAR for the available events.

Controls

This Java copy is built for a phone keypad. The credits used here do not print which number is accelerate, shoot or pass, so those keys are not invented on this page. In the browser player, the arrows and 2, 4, 6 and 8 send the direction pad, 5 or Enter sends the centre key, and Q and W send the two soft keys.

Key features

  • Fourth major Asphalt entry
  • Java ME release
  • Gameloft racing title

Before you play

  • Read the in-game Help or Instructions screen before starting.
  • The preserved build may use a different language or screen size from another edition.
  • Browser emulation may behave differently from the original handset.

Artwork and compatibility

The image comes from the preserved game file and may be a title graphic, logo or icon. It is not a gameplay capture. The browser player uses FreeJ2ME and CheerpJ. Some builds may not run on every browser.

The player sends directions with arrows or 2, 4, 6 and 8, centre with 5 or Enter, and soft keys with Q and W. Check the game’s own instructions for its actions.
